I agree with you on two with the second if possible before 1st of October if there are terms with the stallion (especially if they are expensive).

see i was told to have a 3rd but i didnt and now im thinking hmmm shall i get a blood test done to make sure !!!
Im just worried as its her first time living out and she is a bit ribby (cos of the horrible weather) and im worried about her x
That can depend. B was scanned to make sure she was in-foal and to check for twins and also at 42 days - missed the heart beat scan.
Here, at work, we scan to check for ovulation, to check for twins, to check for heartbeat, then 35, 42 days and possibly feotal sexing between 60 & 80 days. After that, it is generally a palp - esp. for in-foal mares going to the sales!

I know you spend so much effort and money getting them in foal that sometimes you start getting paranoid about them, even though they are quite happy out in a field
Who is she in foal to? If it is an expensive stallion and you have doubts in your mind then I would perhaps get it checked as they will want to see that she is not in foal to get any return on not pay additional fees, then the test will be worth it. If she is in foal then at least you will have some kind of peace. The name of the game is to get a live foal on the ground so I don't think you can ever be too cautious. good Luck!
14 days - she threw up twins
15 days - to check the second twin (Troy) had survived
21 days - to check 2nd twin still there otherwise would re-inseminate
28 days - heart beat
42 days - part of package, and after this could ride her
65 days - she is a hussy and started showing signs of coming into season
100 days - manual scan to make sure he still there and did not need to return to stud for NFFR
yea she hasnt actually come into season so im sure she still is but i am paranoid !!
I think it is because i had the same as you becki last year with my mare and was told it hadnt survived then 4 months down the line she was still there !!!
I dont know much about dressage horses but looks nice and it is well bred. I saw Sandro a few times at Zangersheide and even though he was quite old they ran him loose in the school at stallion parades. He showed a lot of presence and the crowd really appreciated him. I know they were very sad when he died as he was a legend.
Yes he is very well bred but still a youngster got amazing scores for his grading too !!!
I actually chose him as he compliments my mare very well - she has some big names in her breeding and its so hard to find something that she hasnt got !!!
Totally agree with you on finding a stallion that compliments the mare. They may not be fashionable or well known stallions that are more suitable and are used, but it is all about narrowing the odds to get the best foal with natural ability as possible. Good Luck
