How mich for new brake shoes on trailer?

Anyone had there's replaced? My friends selling a trailer I'm interested in and she thinks all 4 need replacing. Want to offer her an amount taking into account the amount the work will cost.

Depends on the make of trailer. I'd ring the local dealer, and ask for the price of the parts. Then, if you don't feel capable of doing yourself, I'd ask for a price fitted too.

Make sure the tyres are the expensive steel threaded ones, not the car type from Quick fit, as they are twice as expensive but essential, I would agree a price for a fully maintained trailer, and let her do the work. Otherwise you could end up with one less friend.

Ive just had a quote for brakes for our trailer & it was £50 plus vat per axle, so about £120 in all. Ours is an older IW 505.
