As above, how much have people paid to have a towbar bought and fitted along with electrics?

Thanks

my mate next door bought a complete brand new towbar for his 13 plate van off the internet for just under £100
The fully qualified neighbour mechanic fully fitted it for £100
£200 covered the lot

I’ve had several and paid between £200 and £350 depending on the car
My friend has a super fancy car and couldn’t get one less than £500 though so I guess they vary a lot

I'd say around £350 but can vary wildly as some cars need more work than others & unless done at the manufacturing garage it can invalidate warranty so I've been told. Also some need an uprated fan to tow.

Mine was just short of £500, I had to have a detachable one as I have an xtrail and the fog lights are directly behind where the tow bar sits. Car would fail MOT if tow bar was attached. It also has reversing cameras which apparently made it a bit more expensive.

So depends what tow bar you want and what car you have.

I paid 450 with the car specific electrics. I read online that they cant guarantee the trailer stabiliser would activate if you used universal electric.
