Great to hack infront / behind, on own / in company
Snaffle mouthed

Back and teeth checked all ok. Upto date with vaccinations wormers etc etc.

Good to shoe clip box and with farrier.

Only down side is has issues with getting on, can take up to 1/2 hour, nothing nasty just may have been upset at some point but could be easily resolved. Lovley to ride once mounted!!!

First off he walks away from the mounting block. Seems to have never been taught to stand.
When you put a foot up into the stirrup he shoots back / forward which ever way he can go.
You then need to calm him before trying again. He looks very worried and frightened.
When you first get on he walk really quickly ina cricle and humps his back (does not buck / rear) he then calms very quickly and is happy to be ridden

Sounds cold backed to me too! Before you sell I would try girthing him loosely before mounting, walk him and girth up again, walk again and girth again and re walk before mounting and you may find that stops.
If not then I would pay no more than £2k as I wouldn't want a horse that can take 1/2 an hour to mount- thats a long time!

Firstly I'm not selling him - he's not mine........yet!!!!

I don't think he is cold backed have seen and had cold backed horses and he doesn't seem the same. He is and has been lunged before mounting and the girth is done up nice and gradualy.
Have also spoken to his back lady and she thinks the problem is an incident from him his past and does not feel he is cold backed!!!
Prices are interesting i'm not going to reveal how much we are paying until after his vetting but will definalty keep you all updated!!

The mounting issue sounds very similar to Archie when I first got him as a4 year old. It was just lack of experience, as he came from Ireland and had never seen a mounting block b4.
I dont think this would reflect in the price though, I paid a lot more than 3k for Arch even with this problem, but then again it will only become a problem if you let it!
Would you pm me the asking price as Im very interested to see now!

No I'm not geing to tempt fate. He is being vetted this week so i'll let you all now once I have the results from this. Fingers crossed he passes.
It found about him from a phone call that I got from an advert I placed on priject horses!!!
