Just wondering what everyone pays, they never like to tell you until they have rasped away and hand you a hefty bill, then say its the going rate, so what does everyone pay?
I use Colin Hill and we pay £30 per horse as yard tend to get together to make it cheaper still same price for each horse irrelevant of what work is required of each horse!
I recently paid £30 without sedation. This was including call out and for one horse only. Mind, he didn't need much work doing - just general maintenance and rasping a hook off!
£40 if i'm the only one being done, less if the yard is being done. He also does little bits of work for free - say if hes at yard for another horse and I mention Rocks needs doing soon, he'll check his teeth and rasp down any pointy bits and then book me in for a proper session, and not charge for the little bits he did that day.
£43.38 two weeks ago.
No idea how they arrived at that amount, but we do live 100 miles away from nearest equine vet so even with shared costs transport would still be quite abit
