I've ended up helping a friend sell their horse and they have said that they will pay me for doing so (she works shifts, has a family etc and doesn't want to be involved in letting him go), its not an ideal situation as its taking up alot of my time, a box in my yard (private) which means at least one of mine has to be out 24hrs while he is with us being sold. I know I shouldn't have, but he's here and now I've got to deal with being soft.
Anyway, she's said let me know how much I think is fair? I've had the horse a week and hopefully someone will come and buy him next week, he's on hay and will quite happily go thru a bale a day, plus a bit of turnout. Then I've got mucking out, time etc. Hes up for about £3k. I don't do this for a living, so I haven't got a clue?
Any suggestions of how much I should charge her please? %of sale or what?
