If it's an old rice huntsman with the landrover tyres then they are pretty darn heavy, but the only way to be sure is to go to a weighbridge and get a ticket to say what weight it is unladen.
I have an old Bahill with a wooden floor. It looks exactly the same as a Rice Europa. I took it to the weighbridge and it only weighs 680kg. You can only find out by taking it to a public weighbridge, there's bound to be one in your area. Ours is at the local coal merchants.
I have Rice Junior Foxhunter, 25 yrs old, 2 ponies or 1 horse up to 15.2 ish with partition out. Still has origional weight lable & plate, 520kg! Can be legally towed by a larger car, even with my 500kg horse is weighs less than most unlaiden trailers. The key is the number of ramps. Ramps weigh a lot, so if it is rear load & unload (no side ramp) will weigh a lot less.
Right. Off to the weigh bridge I go. I can only tow 2 tonnes with my car so we shall see. Sounds like it could go either way. Other wise I'll jut have to change car or buy myself a trailer I guess.
