How much do you love your horse ...

Sadly I don't love her a lot :( but I do feel concern for her and want to give her the best chances I can. I would never see any harm befall her, and she wants for nothing.

That's all I have at the moment. She can be hard to love quite frankly. Not an easy girl.

Not much obviously, family first, then horses/dogs etc.

Me too!

I love my horses to bits, have spent tens of thousands building the yard and sorting the land etc, and hope that they will be with us forever. They are very much shared by the whole family and ridden by all three of us, although to them it is just a hobby, not a passion like it is for me. If my husband were to say we should get rid of the horses there would be a serious reason. He puts a heck of a lot of time and work into the horses for me.

As far as money is concerned I would sell everything I posess to keep or pay vets bills for my welshie, he's the love of my life! Not quite sure if I'd do that for my horse yet, but I do love him lots and lots.
Hopefully my OH knows better than to ever ask me to choose, but as I pay for them myself without his support, I don't think he has the right to ask anyway!

After my immediate family- Mum and Brother, my horse comes first- I would shoot him myself to save either my Mum or my Brother, but after that my horse definitely comes first- as many boyfriends have discovered!!

If the partner wanted you to spend more time with them and less with your horse, or you were made to choose yes. My partner understands I need time with the horse, and is really good about it.

I was at home thinking the other day about my horse and how many horse lovers/obsessives around!

What would you give up for your horse ..

Would you give up your partner if a choice had to be made ... ;)

my late mare:( I would give my life for her - worshiped the ground she walked on. Same with my first mare.

They are right up there in first place

My hubby felt like this I spent more time with the horses at weekends than with him. Horse came first I told him I bought her 2 years before i first met you. He put up with it, then he decided to combine me being with horses and spending more time at home. By ..............................................

Buying me my own yard so he sees me more :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

donovan has helped to heal my heart and soul after we lost Benson, he is my life.
BUT....
I still cant quite give him my all. I love him to bits, and he is becoming my best friend, but I guess I am a little afraid after how much it hurt when loosing Benson, and I cant let myself get that attatched yet.

Its a bit of a joke in our house that every time a new animal arrives my OH moves down in the pecking order!! I keep telling him that as long he knows and accepts that then there will never be a problem:p. OH did tell me once that if I brought any more animals home he was leaving so a few days later I text him to say his bags were packed and ready as I had just bought a springer pup. Both OH and springer live in harmony.:D Since then I have bought three miniatures so OH knows that his position has slipped a little more.;)
