Further to my last post , how much do you think its reasonable to pay ;
A) for a competent amatuer to school my horse ?
B) a professional to be asking ? no one majorly well known just a good instructor ?

opinions appreciated as haven't got a clue !! don't want to be ripped off or be to mean with my money !!

thanks !!

£20 an hour?! Wow ! That is what my dressage instructor charges and she has won at Prix St George level!

I'd say £20 to £40 for a professional, and £10-£15 for a competant amateur

Ask not how much but how good?

very good point , I see many a cold evening watching various people ride my horse before I find the right person !

I would pay between £20 - £40 depending on how often & why I needed them to ride for me.

I wouldn't really be drawn by qualifications or how many wins at what level, you can get some really good riders who only ever ride youngster, they would be much better if it is for your 4yo mare, some one who competes and wins on a ready made horse for example might sound great but may not have a clue about a 4yro, if you get my drift.
