how much do you pay for Flu vac's

Hi

This is my first pony so haven't had dealings with vets before. According to his passport his last Flu vac was May 07.

Roughly how much will it cost me to get them redone?

Ummmmm if I remember correctly....

My boy's vaccs were about £38 for the first one for both flu and tet, then the same for the 2nd injection 6 weeks later and then £26 for just flu 6 months later.

I got it done on free visit days so didn't have to worry about visit fee too

It cost me about £30 for each one, he'd never had them. Our vet doesn't charge call out in day time just at night. Good Vet!!Why not ring your vets and ask them?

£30 + callout (I take my horse to them to save that!)

The initial course is 3 injections. (1st one, 6 weeks later, then 6 months)

I'd be hurrying up as he needs the tetanus cover as soon as reasonably possible!

It seems to vary from vet to vet.
got several quotes when I was looking to get my boy vetted - seemed to vary from £28.80 to £36.61 (+ callout)

If you wanted to compete in RC team activities, vacs need to be up to date.
Schedule:
Vac 1: Tet & Flu
Vac 2: Tet & Flu needs to be 21 - 92 days later.
Vac 3 Flu only needs to be 150 - 215 days after vac 2.
