on hard feed each month?

I'm not including supplements, or hay/haylage.

I've worked out that my once a month trip to the feed merchants (saving diesel/ temptation on repeat trips) costs me about £110, which works out to approx £12.50 per horse! I'm quite impressed with that

I do have top quality home grown haylage that they can have add lib, and this keeps them looking good. In amongst these horses, I have 2 that would loose weight in the wink of an eye, and a mega-growing yearling.

I'm sure if I only had one or two to feed, I'd spend heaps more than that!

3 sacks of A&P C+C = £30
3sacks of Alfa A Oil = £27.50

So £57.50

Also buy oil, topspec balancer and magnitude. Ad lib haylage is included in livery

There was a thread on this in CR recently asking specifically about competition horses.

For P a bag of baileys lo cal balancer lasted 3 months so about £7 a month
Lacey just has dodson and horrell safe and sound with the balancer so say 1 bag of balancer and two bags of chaff (probably slighty less) - £30 approx

Too much!!!
Only joking, dont begrudge my boysies eating better than I do at all!!

1x Bailey No1 @ £12
2x Alfa A Lite @ £11 each
1x Calm & Condition @ £12
1x Pegasus Cubes @ £6

£52 per month- 2 poor doers.

far too much!
£140 a month. £20 on my old semi-retired live on fresh air Welsh and the rest on my 7yr old poor-doer Welsh in hard work.
Bailey's Outshine
TopSpec balancer
TopSpec cool condition cubes/super conditioning flakes
alfa-a oil
alfa beet

old boy gets unmolassed sugar beet and hi-fi senior and topspec balancer

prob around £175/mth on 8 which includes 3weanlings, 2veterans, an exciteable tbx in lightwrk, 2very good doers in wrk we stil hav loads of grass though & really good quality hay so the majority of that goes on the veterans who have very few teeth & cant really eat hay/grass.

my last 'weeks shopping' for the neds came to approx £200, this is a monthly cost but i have to go to two different feed stores, about 15 miles apart to get what they have. Ontop of that they have either 1 or 2 sacks of carrots a day = approx £67.50

That feeds 8 (1 shetland, 1 welsh yearling, 13hh pony, 14.2 old section d, 14hh rescue broodmare in foal, 15.3 kwpn broodmare in foal, 16.1 old hanxarab and an old 16.2 cbxtb)

WHY DID I ANSWER THIS POST!!!
you just made me work out i am spending £33.44 a horse per month.... but its not that, its more per horse as the shetland doesnt get hard feeds, and the yearling, her dam and the welsh cob only gets a tiny bit...!
