How much would you expect to receive / or pay for someone to come and do morning yard duties - ie muck out stables, fill haynets and put feeds up for next day - this would entail a max of two hours in the morning - this is for adhoc work as and when needed - approx. one full week of mornings (2hrs/day) every 5 weeks - hourly rates or daily rates please - thanks

Our yard used to be very good and used to pay me £8.00 an hour when I did Sunday mornings, or worked in between temporary assignments. But after a gap of a few years I did a day not so long ago and only got £6.00 an hour, so it was hardly worth doing.

But it helped me out as my horse had colic so I was able to keep an eye on him whilst I'd worked as I'd had to take the day off work to keep an eye on him and get the vet out so not complaining. But don't think I would do it again, unless I was between jobs.
