How much for a stable

How much would you pay per week to just rent a stable block of 2 to 3 stables? I only need 2 stables but could keep feed & bedding in the other one.

We are in the process of getting planning permission for building our own stables but this will take time, so I want to talk to neighbours about using their unused stable block in the meantime.

We would keep horses on our own grazing but would just stable overnight at the neighbours. There is water & electric in the stables but I dining think I would get any other facilities.

Any advice on what I should be paying would be great, as I have always kept my horses with family before. Thanks
 
DIY livery costs for just a stable and no "facilities" or turnout would probably be around £12to £15 per week I imagine. Why not offer them £100 per month for all three and see what they say? Have the stables been rented out in the past? Do you know if the people would want them used they might not have thought about it if they are not horsey!
 
Thanks. They are horsey but now just have 1 older pony who they keep in a different yard on the site so for the last 18 months they've hired the 'yard' I'm using to someone along with some very big fields. They want to rest the fields now (theyve had hay off it too in the past so I suspect that's their plan again). So they've just rolled & harrowed the fields and don't want anyone on them. Im taking my nags up the road each day back to my own fields for turnout.
 
Maybe offer them £30 per week? It's a bit of spare cash in their pockets they wouldn't otherwise have isn't it! Generally I can't see them renting to anyone else if there's no turnout ... Have you approached them yet?
