I have been offered 3 stables, tack room and great grazing for my boy over the summer. It will be totally DIY, no one else on the yard (might take a friend with me!)

Question is how much do you pay for this? per week/per horse? I ask because the land/stables owner hasn't a clue either. We are friends, She is so generous with her time and kindness, I want to make sure I pay the correct market rate.

We are in south gloucestershire.

When I was on a yard with just stables and grazing in South Glos (near Bristol) it was £15/week per horse. Would have been more if there was a school etc. :)

I pay £27.50 per week (£119 per month) for 2 stables, 3 acres, tack room, small barn, water and electric. Completely DIY no one else there. The farmer chain harrows, rolls and fertilises the fields in the spring for me apart from that we manage it ourselves.

Blimey! I'm being done here! I am the only livery on a private yard, have use of 2 stables, a tack room with a roof that leaks, no electric lights (there but not working) 4 acres. I have use of an arena that has not been raked in 6 years!
For this I have to pay £60 per week for 2 horses! - and I maintain the fences!
