We are relocating back to the UK after 9 years abroad. I am looking for temporary full livery, approx 6 months max.
I would be providing bedding, feed and haylage, no riding involved but everything else ( rug changes, feet picking etc).
How much would I be looking at?
Many thanks

full livery includes riding and tack cleaning and supplying all feed and bedding and duties.

Hi HGA!
Ok, so it wouldn't be full livery then as I don't want my horse ridden.( wouldn't mind the tack cleaning tho ;-) )
Seems i'm talking assisted then?
I could drop providing bedding, feed and haylage, so that would class as full livery then? ( but without riding?)
What would the general prices be on full and assisted?
not bothered about indoor/outdoorschool etc, just decent turn out, big airy stables and good care

Full livery can include no riding, just say when talking to people you don't want riding. Most livery you will get feed, bedding and hay/hayledge included. (You may have to pay more if it is a hay yard and you want hayledge) you will also have to pay if you horse needs extra supplements or specialist feeds.

Price depends on we're you are in the country, I am in the south and prices vary from £110-£200 and beyond a week. But you can find most livery £110-£150 a week.

Crikey, that is a lot! Especially as I have two!!
Hopefully East Yorkshire will be a bit cheaper than that! Horses hey, who'd have them! ( me!!)

I'm based in East Yorkshire (Hull to be exact) and I pay £85 pw for full livery. That includes turnout three days a week, bedding, two feeds a day and two massive haynets a day, full muck out and skip put each day, feet picking and use of schools. I've not heard of any full livery including riding and tack cleaning though... That's usually extras added on!

Thanks for that, I'd want daily turn out, but knowing what you pay and what you get for it is very helpful. I'm looking more towards Pocklington way ( say a 10 to 15 mile radius )

I don't know anything about them, mind - they feature quite a lot in Ride Yorkshire outings, so that's why I've seen their website. Ride Yorkshire website mainly concentrates on riding, but does also have links to a few B&Bs which allow you to take your horse - maybe some of those would be keen to take in a full livery over the winter months?
There should be quite a few places which are reasonably priced around the east and south of Pocklington in particular, I would think.

Try Thornton House Farm about 4 miles from Pocklington off the 1079. They have a huge indoor school, outdoor jumping arena and horsewalker included in the livery. Part-time livery is £85 pw (you do your own horse 2 days a week), full-time is £120 inc daily brushover and tack cleaning.

They have a website.
