How much for livery?

Friend has asked me to look after their horse for 2 weeks whilst they are on holiday, they want me to ride/school horse & keep it at my yard (I keep mine at home in my old stable block of 2 stables but attaching to existing yard ). Have asked YO if she is happy for another horse to "visit" which is fine.
Horse is only moving 5 mins down the road btw, but at friends house has no facilities to school.

problem is, how much do I charge? I have no idea!
Bearing in mind he is a student and so am I

Depends if you are planning to ask him to return the service if you go away!

I tried to pay a friend for checking, rugging and feeding my horse for a week when I was away and she was quite offended when I tried to pay her. She only accepted a bar of chocolate and a tiny contribution to her petrol, my horse kept in field opposite hers but she has to drive to see them.

She viewed it that I would do the same for her and she will take me up on that offer if she has a holiday.

Admittedly she does also love my horse

So, I think it depends on the circumstances and what financial position they are in, I assume if they are a student money is scarce!
