A local college by me have up graded all their jumps to bsja safety ones and are selling off all the old jumps as a job lot by sealed bid.

How much do you recon the following are worth. I assume they are wood jumps in reasonable condition.

2 white spread wings
2 pairs of rustic wings
11 pairs of assorted coloured wings
8 assorted fillers
19 poles
3 planks
2 style poles
Various cups

Thanks.

I think about £250 - providing they are in reasonable condition - people seem to pay silly money for things like this tho'

- if you google 'Cornish Show Jump Company' they are quite reasonable for new jumps and might give you a better idea!

You'd have to see the condition of them really. I believe wings & poles are way over priced, they are simple to make & materials are not very expensive at all. The most expensive thin gs are the cups.
ASsk them what they want for them, then you have a starting figure & you can negociate from there.

its sealed bids so no idea how much other people are offering. Me and my dad made some wings last week, cost us £30 in wood to make two wings.... Was thinking about offering £400?

I still think £500 is fair.

it would be about :
15 wings at £20 = £300
8 fillers at £20 = £160
24 poles/planks at £3 = £72
and nothing for the cups

£400 is a good starting point though but you could lose out - I hate sealed bids - good luck

Its not 15 wings though, its 15 pairs of wings. I think that theres a lot here and they will easily get £500.

Perhaps if you know someone else who wants some you could share them and make a higher bid.

These things are terrible as the next bid down could be £50. Really depends on how much you want them..........
