Just wondering if anyone has any tips / experience of this type of thing:

Dad has been asked to take on about 10 pregnant broodmares for livery. They will be out on grass now and then come indoors into pens later on - presumably until they have given birth and then be moved back to their owner (sorry don't know precise details).

Anyway, he asked me today if i new what sort of money to charge. Well quite frankly I haven't got a clue, and then there has to be some sort of insurance coverage as well.

Dad is a racehorse trainer, and has a very high level of insurance for his own horses and staff, and does have experience of breeding his own horses, but in recent years the mares were sent away to foal.

So, my first thought was that round here it is approx £15 pw for grass livery, but then what else?

Just wondering if you guys can make any suggestions (although I know I haven't given much detail, sorry).

Thanks folks x
