Grass livery in Somerset please?
I have too much grass and a neighbour has asked to bring her horses on grass livery as she has lost her field (rented). the paddock is a level/harrowed/rolled/ reseeded where necessary/weedkilled (mostly buttercup free)/permenant triple electric fenced/water and is amongst my other paddocks next to my house. There is plenty of grass as has been rested for 7 weeks.

She said she pays £5 per horse per week at the mo but this is for an unfenced/no water field in the middle of noware so I think that is a bit cheap to charge for mine.

The field is about 1 3/4 acres.

£10/week per horse would be reasonable- I pay £15 for field and stable plus use of a small school

How many horses is she bringing? Sounds like a lovely situation, to be frank around here you'd be getting minimum £80-90 a month for that. To put it in perspective, I pay £136 a month for a 1 acre field and one stable, the field and stable are half a mile apart, there's no water source in the field and I do most of the maintenance myself!

Blimey, Foxyeventing you have a really good deal. Grass livery here varies from £10 to £15 per horse per week, do your own water/poos etc.
