How Much? Irish Sports Horse

Not for sale (hopefully he'll be with us for life), but wondering how much you think he's worth

Registered Irish Sports Horse gelding, 12 years old, 15.1hh. Dressage schoolmaster, relaxed in a show atmosphere, brave jumper, easily clears 3ft courses at home, ridden by nervous jump-riders and is a great confidence giver. Ridden by beginners and looked after them, but is well schooled and does well under an experienced rider. Won working hunter classes, was champion at his first show with us. Hacks alone and in company, good in traffic. Good to clip, box, shoe ect. Windsucks slightly (doesn't bite hold of stuff, just stands there). Ideal riding club horse, passed a 5* vetting last march.

He's gorgeous, I'm not good with this but I'd pay about £3500 for him, but I can't value horses cos I'm not experienced with that sort of thing.

He's quite small although he sounds great. I'd say about £3500

Lovely pony, I had to look twice, He's looks so much like my old mare used to, she is a 15.1 Connie x tb, guessing by what some of the girls at our yard have paid in the past year I would say any thing from 3 - 4.5k?

No idea - but chaps like him are worth their weight in gold, and you rarely come across one twice.

If hes ok hacking alone and in company aswell and good in all other respects I would estimate around the 4k mark. Good family horses that anyone can sit on and that will also do well in the competition world are hard to come by and people will pay a lot.

He is lovely by the way.

That's fab, he cost us £2250 from a RDA centre, he was a bit nappy when he came (but it's completely sorted out now) and a bit unfit and hairy, but I've always said he was a bargain

He's a saint, my sister went to her first ever dressage on him on sunday, and he didn't put a foot wrong!
