Just wondering my friend has a pure welsh cob mare with pure blood lines going all the way back to Nebo black magic. She dint know this till yesterday when the mares old owners found some papers and sent them to her? She was wondering how much is she worth ? shes a reg welsh sec D 14.3hh black mare ? Does the Nebo black magic affect the price. Dont want to sound thick but i have not got a clue about blood lines lol

my section C part bred is also a descendant of Nebo Black Magic. I don't know if his lines would make a huge amount of difference as there are many many welsh's knocking about with his blood. If her other lines are very good then it may make a difference to someone that wanted to breed from her.

it wouldnt make a difference to the price probably 50%or more of all reg welsh cobs will have him in their passport. What would make a difference is how its put together what disciplines it competes inand its temperament as with any other horse.

Thats where her value is then i wouldnt worry about the bloodlines bit, especially if shes going to be doing medium level dressage. I saw a cob for sale on quest for £12k who competed at medium not so long ago - not the same one is it??
