How much is too much?

My 4yo has gone away to be broken in - this is the first time I have ever sent any of my horses away like this.

I do completely trust the yard and the staff to do their very best for my little chap - but obviously I want to be kept up to date with his progress and how he is.

How often enquiring about him is too much? And others that have sent horses away for breaking / schooling - how often do you go and visit them?

It is really odd at home without the boy - but I don't want to be hassling the YO with me pestering her asking how he is doing!

Your horse and you are paying them - enquire as much as you feel you need too!

I am about to be in the same position and intend calling every couple of days. At the end of the day I am the paying client and my horse is my friend who I am entrusting to the care of someone else. To them he is a business arrangement but he is part of my family.!
