Am intersted to see what people think my mare Dolly is worth! She is approx 12 years old, 15.3hh. Will hack out alone or in company, excellent to shoe and box. She never grows a thick winter coat so I have never clipped her, although I do keep her feathers clipped off. She isn't brilliant to do, but her legs have been very sore in the past so understandable). She has never reared with me, but will put in the odd buck when she gets excited. Excellent with traffic, loves jumping (I don't jump though) and sharer has been doing a bit of dressage with her. Will not be offended by any replies, to me she is priceless.

No comments on my riding please. I was absolutely terrified.

I think it's very hard to put a value on something like Dolly - purely because of her age, and because she's an unknown quantity to clip.

If she were still in single figures, then I think people would bite your hand off for her - because she is simply quite stunning to look at, and would seem to be an absolute poppet.

So will not try and come up with any kind of figure - other than to say that whoever ownes a horse like this will agree that they are priceless.

PS - Actually I've changed my mind.

Someone looking to breed a nice coloured horse would be very interested in her - and in the right market you could probably sell her for quite a bit!

She's gorgeous!
We were offered £2.5k for Chloe a couple of years ago (when she was 13) and she doesn't really jump, and wasn't too well schooled at that point, so I'd say at least that for Dolly. And as she's coloured so you could probably add another grand

£4k for coloured i would say about right
put her to a good wb coloured stallion - would be stunning foal and they can be worth ££££££

If she had full feather and a long mane and tail the london boys would bite your hand off especially as its a mare. She is a nice stamp and would breed some fab traditional coloured horses.
As she is I would pay arround 3.5k to 4k. Not being too good to clip would not bother me in the least, I'm not too keen on my trim up either. lol

Nice sort...
