How much might she grow?

Hi,

I have a 2 year old New forest pony who is 13.1h and of very stocky build.

Any idea how much taller I might expect her to get over the next couple of years?

I bought her at a market and so don't know sire/ dam heights.

Forest breds tend to be fully grown, give or take an inch by 3.... So not a lot. Maybe 13.3... Wouldn't expect over 14hh. We've had quite a few and they haven't grown past 3.

There was one exceptionally stocky one at 2, who hasn't grown any more by 4.... She won't. She ljust about ooked like a 4yr old at 2!! She went to the New Forest Show and the judge was amazed! How in proportion does she look?

Who are her parents? I may be able to find out their heights for you.
 
Can you post her dam and sires name. There are quite a few Forester lovers on here and some of them may know their heights?
 
Found info on her Dad. It doesn't say his height, but there are some photos, and I'd have said he looked about 13.2hh.

another thing I'd add is that not many forest breds make over 14h... There are some. When you bought her at the sales who did she compare height wise to the others. We went a few years ago, wanting a big one and purposefully bought the biggest that came i the ring, she made 14.1hh at 3, was very tall and gangly and was only gonna grow outwards (she had to be sold on). You pay a premium for height at the sales!
 
Blackwells breeder comes on here.
I can't remember her name but she is realy nice, google their stud and give her a ring.
