Ethel is a 3yo TB and currently stands at just about 15.1hh. She doesn't seem to be bum high to me, heres a pic ...

Sorry about how she looks, have been trying to sort her out, shes been wormed and is on Alfa A, Livery Mix and Speedi-Beet but doesnt seem to look much better although this pic was before I started her on the new feed. Anywho, back to the subject, how much do you guys think she'll grow?

Don't know much about TB's to be honest WB's more my bag - I know that they mature fairly quick, so maybe she won't put on more height, but will fill out - she definitely looks like she has more growing/maturing to do.

Do you know much about her breeding? How tall were her parents and grandparents?

If she were a WB, I'd say she won't mature until she's 6/7 yrs old......

Saying that, I've known 3/4 yr olds to put on at least 6 inches in height when they reached 7 yrs old......

Unless you know her parentage, I'm afraid it's the old saying 'how long is a piece of string'

Thanks for your help, I do know her parentage, but dont know their height, will have a look now and see if I can find out somehow.

Definitely still bum high!! LOL!

Thing is when you see them day in day out, you can't tell. front cannons are still shorter than hocks so even those need to grow just a wee bit more :D

Read this (page 6) it's a brilliant (hence why I keep posting it :p ) and everyone should read it. :)

Do you know much about her breeding? How tall were her parents and grandparents? I agree with this, it is a good guide to look at the heights of her relatives although it's not 100% accurate due to other factors. Eg, nutrition, quirk of genetics etc...

PS, she looks very sweet. :)

She still has another 3 to 4 years of growing to do and many TBs tend to look bad until they pass the age of 5 or 6 when they really put condition down. I would guess she should make the 16hh mark. Maybe a bit bigger.

The best advice I can give is to feed as much hay as she can eat and a good quality chaff with a vit and min supp added. You can use as much conditioning feed as you like but she will just use it for growing.
