Does it make when a colt is gelded?

My boy is 6 and a half months old and is going to be gelded early next year.

Obviously it depends on each individual, but he's very laid back and good to deal with.
I was just wondering what, if any differences I will see.

He's going to be quite big so I really don't mind a big laid back boy, rather that than the opposite!

This is us playing dress up today. Not fazed at all… even by the bells!

Think they grow bigger when gelded younger, otherwise unless you've got something really colty don't think it makes a huge amount of difference
 
He looks lovely. I don't know in general but my colt was gelded aged 21 months and he has gone back to being the lovely gentle chap he was at 7 months... had been very bitey and rather boisterous before. Lucky we did it then as he is now over 500kg. Downside is (like his owner) he now struggles rather more with his waistline! :)
 
Not a huge difference but it depends on the colt. Obviously if you wait you have to be careful with any mares around but it's always best to have them gelded younger as his plums will be smaller he should heal quicker with less swelling.

Temperament wise his plums probably haven't come in yet, you might see a change but I doubt it.

Always best to whip em off asap if you as me =p

Not sure that's always true- I had to wait until mine was nearly 4 - he's 16.3 now! His sire was 16.1, dam 16.3. I don't think he could have grown much bigger.
OP - he is very handsome:)
