Just wondered how much you think my mare is worth?? I am in no way even thinking of selling her as i love her too much but was just wondering.

She is a 17hh(ish) 4yo (5yo in March) TB x Han. Her blood lines are Diamigo (not sure if i spelt that right but he is a Hanoverian dressage stallion and PG knows who he is LOL) and her dame is a top eventer called turtle dove (unfortunatly they changed the dames name so cant find anything on her).

She was professionally schooled before i got her by a top showjumper (where i brought her from) so her flat work is very good and she works in a consistent outline and is well balanced. She is just learning to do flying changes, she changes the front but not the back at the mo.

She is excellent to shoe, box, clip, catch etc etc.

She has been out to about 4 shows where she has been jumping BN and Disc but has not won any money yet due to a couple of knocks. I have jumped her at home upto about 1.10 but we are trying to keep it small at the mo to practice more on rythmn as she rushes her fences occasionally. This horse NEVER stops and has jumped water trays and triples first time without batting an eyelid.

She has a really nice temprament and is not marish at all although she can get a bit upset at times if the others go out without her but i think thats a baby thing.

Anyway here are some pics & a vid to give you a better idea:

Well, I know what you paiud, and I know what she was advertised for originally....and I still think you got a bit of a bargain

yes 6K would be about right but dont sell if you love her as she would be hard to replace will mature into a really great horse I would say.

She's a difficult one to price at the moment for me, if her jumping technique develops as she matures then she could be quite valuable.
At the moment I'd say around the 4K mark

She is jumping quite hollow in that vid, i think its coz she was in a bit that was slightly too harsh but i have since found a bit that she really likes and her technique is starting to improve so i am hoping that this time next year she will be a different horse

£6,000 - £7,000 due to her being young with lots of scope.

I think she is a cracker and always like reading your posts. Glad to hear you sorted out a new bit for her.

I think she is a little cracker.

Remember that prices have shot up sky high in the last year especially. People are paying vast sums of money.

I have seen a lot of horses with a lot less talent then Senza on the market for at least £7500 but these are horses with top eventing and showjumping dealers so as that automatically seems to add about £4k to the price!

If she was being sold from someone like Vere Phillips yard she would probably, be priced at about £12k.

I would say around 6k as well but I'm well out of UK prices and it certainly sounds a reasonable price to me!! But then again, I just got a bit of a bargain myself!!

Nice horse, would like to see her going softer and much more round. Keep up with the dressage/flatwork, it will make a huge difference!!

PS - your problem with the flying changes. Try this - BUT she may be a bit young and unbalanced for changes anyway - on a 20m circle in canter (balanced and steady) try pushing her quarters in - only for a couple of strides and then out straight again. Only repeat a couple of times on each rein as it is very hard work. But this will tell you if she is listening to your leg and moving the balance. Cos what you are trying to achieve in the change is a shift of balance to the other leg and it is HUGELY important that she changes correctly in the back leg - forget what the front is doing cos if she changes behind, this will come automatically.

GOOD LUCK - she'd make a nice dressage horse with that breeding

I would say priceless but then I’m rubbish at this kind of thing, saying that the price of horses these days you could easily ask £6000 if not more I would say!?!

She is a stunner!

a horse is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
i sold a 5 year old gelding grey warmblood to someone on here for £3000 last year of a simular (sp) stamp to her.
but prices vary on where you live too.
so maybe i gave him away as i later saw him advertised for £5500 but i dont think she's sold him yet.

Agree with Storm123! You can't put a price on a horse until you sell it so as far as you are concerned for your own interest she is worth what you paid. Don't worry about how much of a bargain you got, concentrate on getting her going how you want etc and she will be worth much more to you, because you have put the work in! Thats how I feel about my horse, she is worth far more to me than what anyone would pay for her!

I'd say at least 6k, she looks absolutely lovely and is obviously very talented. But then I know people that have paid 5k for something with no talent, bad manners and looks only a mother would love, so it could easily be much more!

All Kelly is asking for is opinions...She knows what she paid, and she's is trying to guage the relative value of her (not insignificant) investment

We all like to have an idea of what people think our neds are worth...

I agree, although loose she makes a lovely shape, a couple of the ridden ones she didn't look so scopey over.

She is nice though!
