My old Bahill is looking a bit tired so I thought I'd give her a bit of a spruce up with a paint jobbie. However, I'm not sure how much paint to buy and as I don't leave hugely near a DIY superstore, I'd rather have enough to do the job rather than having to return. Has anyone painted one recently and if so, can you remember how much paint you used, please? Planning on two coats with a roller. Thank you

I would prefer to get a pro to do a good paint job: spend 2 to 3 times as much time on preparation than on painting, make sure it is clean, in all crevices. Remove any fixtures.
Use a mini roller and finish off with a top quality 1 and 3/4 inch brush. The type of mini roller depends on the type of paint, I would consider a yacht paint.
You should use an undercoat then a top coat not two top coats, half a litre of each, make sure you use the correct colour of undercoat which is advised on the top coat paint.
The paint will have coverage on the tin, or phone up a paint company.

one half litre of undercoat one litre of top coat. not all paints come in the volumes you need. Undercoat goes further than topcoat. So buy a small [ 500ml] of undercoat and work from there.
Double up if doing roof in contrasting colours, best to have roof white to reflect heat.
