My mare is getting back on track but is needing a lot of time and attention - its unexpected but worth every minute. I now feel terribly guilty about the fact I have just backed my youngster and cannot give him the time he so much deserves. He is lunged every other day at the moment (due to the heat) and ridden twice a week. Ideally, it should be more. So, I am thinking of selling him on to someone who wants to bring on my darling boy and enjoy and have fun with him.

Cross breed (New Forest I suspect); 4 yrs old; gelding; 14h1. Very sweet lots of personality and a quicker learner. Feet just done, healthy happy boy.

If I decide to sell, how much should I price him at?

Oh, i'd keep him. Just take your time - there's no need to rush things. And if you're not riding the other one - then at least your not having to exercise two.
 
I know what you are saying. I feel so guilty at the moment - I just see him in his field and think '...oh he's so gorgeous..' but I keep thinking he needs more. I am very impressionable when it comes to him because this is the first time I have had a youngster and I keep being told they need constant exercise at that stage of their lives. So you think I should keep him....? Maybe loan him out? although I don't know how well that would go down.
 
Babies at this age need time, as AmyMay says, there is no rush. All of the babies that I have dealt with that have been brought on slowly are much nicer then the ones that have been constantly worked since the age of 4.. Babies need time to mature mentally and physically, and think about the work you are asking of them. This is my view anyway.
