I have been advertising my TB for £2000 and had no interest in him i paid £2500 (robbed i know lol) Am i asking too much? I don't want to lose too much money but if i keep him over this winter i am going to be forking out a load more money and i am getting to the point now where i just haven't got the time to ride him so i need to either loan or sell.
Heres some info about him-
16hh exracer, 100% in traffic not scared of anything, ridden in loose ring snaffle, not very well schooled but you can get him in an outline and some ones had him in a medium trot, not done anything but hacking over the last 18 months, will pop a small coloured and natural fences has hunted with previous owner, and a really willing nature so would proberbly do anything. What do you think is a suitable price to ask?

Hmm.. you are up against it here as there are a lot of TBs out there at the moment for very little money.

Can you play up the 'safeness' of him?
How old is he?

Any way you can get some good pictures of him working nicely?

Yeah i know that the problem you see them for like £1000 so you can't really compete he is 6 he is the safest horse i have ever ridden but then i don't want a complete novice buying him

Oh yeah just to make it worse he has had sarcoids removed in past and has just had 2 retreated i may aswell give up now

Don't give up at all!! He sounds really lovely. I think maybe time is the key with him. Decent pictures (if you don't have any are key), It may be worth paying someone to ride him and you can take loads of pictures from what you see on the floor.

Like Mayflower said play on the safety thing with him, there maybe someone out there like a mum who is competent and wishes to accompany kids or similar out hacking.

Spooky, I was thinking of selling mine before the winter too, he is a 16.3hh ISH that I haven't really clicked with,I was robbed for £2,600 he has a sarcoid too!

I was thinking of putting him on project horses for loan (to a capable sj'er) or poss sale at about £2k.

I think we are going to lose money!

Hes been on horsemart about 5 times lol haven't said that he can be loaned with view to buy never had any pics of him being ridden either will have to get some good pics of him to make him look better

He sounds lovely - I wish he was nearer as I will be looking in September. I think the price you have him up for is pretty fair tbh. What about getting him schooled for a month or so, taking some nice pics and sticking him on horsequest. There are always so good quality ex racers on there for prices over 4k!

Sounds a bit like mine, who went on Friday, advertised at £2000, took £1800. Mine didnt have sarcoids but did have two scars on her hind legs, excellent breeding and paces, good in traffic but not a novice ride.

I had no joy with Horsemart but got loads of quite sensible sounding folks by advertising on H&H, sold her to the first caller in the end. Good luck, its horrible selling horses.

I would say the price sounds fair. Emphasize the 100% in traffic and hacking. I had loads of enquiries about my boy who is excellent in traffic.
