Hi,

I was wondering if I could ask a bit of advice.

Im hoping to sell my jumps, but I dont know how much for.

Ive got 4 pairs of coloured wings (never used), 8 colured poles (never used), 8 pairs of silver cups, 8 planks (bought plain and painted by me) never used, 2 painted wall design fillers (never used) and a wooden water tray (made by myself but never used).

What would you expect to pay for something like that? (ive got pics if it helps)

Thank you

A few other horsey people mentionned the £600 mark, but I wnt everyones opinions before I put them up for sale.

Dont want to completely over-price myself

The wall fillers were bought as gates, but I put on a peice of wood on the front and back and painted wall design, the water tray is completely made by me.

The wings, poles and planks were bought off a equestrian shop online. It was all painted apart from the planks, which I painted myself.

The cups were bought online.

Blimey my friend sold hers for £150 and were all professionally made and painted that was last year so even with inflation I wouldn't have said more than £200 (don't forget the credit crunch)

Good luck with the £600 though

I paid £120 for 4 pairs of wings on ebay, so yours should make much more with all the other bits & pieces. I'd definately put them on ebay.

my hubby makes jumps and no way would you ever get £600 for those jumps unless you were to advertise them as brand new jumps. The fact is whether you have used them or not they are now secondhand and as such will have lost value.I think in all honesty you may just about get £300 for them.I agree that your best bet is to put them on ebay and make sure it is buyer collects unless you are prepared to travel the country to deliver them or pay a fortune for someone else to do it for you.I also think you would be better putting them on as seperate lots rather than try to sell all of them as one complete set.The reasons for that are that some people may want fillers or the water tray but not need wings, the same could apply to the poles and planks.Have a look around the net, check out the new prices and then try selling them on ebay using the prices as a guideline for any reserves you need to place on them.
