How much should this pony hold?

My horses campanion pony was ridden 10 years ago, there is a 12 year old who weighs about 115 pounds. who wants to get him back in riding cus she's tierd of walking him. He is a 12.3 hh welsh don't know what section he is. He's 22 year old!. Hes very stocky and has minor laminitis and is on medication. Do you think he should be ridden any ideas with what she can do With him how much work he should be under and how much weight he can hold! Please help. Thanks

At that age and after having 10 years off I wouldn't put him back into work tbh but that's just my opinion! I'm very soft on them!

I am just over that weight by like 3lbs and tbh I prob wouldn't ride a pony that size and age! Maybe a young and fit welsh if it was a real weight carrier?

I wouldn't like to bring a 22yr old back into work after 10 years off.
