How much to Ariat Grasmere's drop?

I bought some of the original style Ariat Grasmere's online. They are absolutely gorgeous but I'm quite short (5'3) and they come up quite high on my leg (about 1cm below knee cap in the front and the same below where my leg bends in the back) I am in two minds whether to send them back or not. They are not so tall that they would make it difficult for me to ride....I sat on a chair and practised that one!
If they were half an inch shorter they would be perfect. Everyone I know with a pair Ive noticed they have gone a bit wrinkley (boots not people!) and have 'dropped' a bit.

So question is have your Ariat Grasmere's dropped at all? And should I send mine back?

Do they irritate you as they are or are they ok. I wouldn't count on them dropping and would just keep them if they are ok as they are.

They tend to settle a bit around where the ankle bends, I would say if they feel okay sitting on a chair then they will be fine. wear them around as much as you can, thats not hard because when you get used to them they are wonderful and really hard to take off!!!! great boots.

They settle a little but I used heel risers in mine and that helped.
