How much to fence off

How much grazing does a 14.1 welsh cob x traditional cob need? I am having to fence off part of her field with electric fencing as she has got mild laminitis. She is allowed back out next week; She has been muzzled but sadly that did not prevent the lami. She has to lose weight. I am looking at in during the day with trickle net, out muzzled restricted grazing night....

I would fence off a long thin strip rather than a square so she is able to move more and therefore use up some energy. For a lami pony we gave him a strip about 5m wide by 30m long which he turned to dirt pretty quickly then we strip grazed when he improved. My other two fatties are strip grazed and I move the fence a few feet each day.
