Hi I've just bought a house in yorkshire, which has stables but I need to rent a field off the farmer how much would you expect to pay for 3 acres thanks

the simple answer is what every he wants, its more then worth any extra cost to have the horses next to the house.
however i rented 8 acres at the top of my lane to supplement my own 4 acres and to have hay off, it costs £450 for the summer, ie from march to oct, but i kept the fencing tidy and got rid of any weeds etc. i was told by locals that the going rate for grazing land is £75/acre per summer grazing period ie march to oct. its hard to find small fields, especially horse friendly ones and even rarer ones next to your house ! best of luck and hope it works out for you
