How much to pay someone to pick up poop

What do you think would be a fair hourly rate to pay a teen to do some poo picking? My 3 seems to create more crap than I can keep up with! So thinking of employing a local horsey girly to do it for me. But what is a fair rate? Obv I dont want to be paying like £40 a week or something. If I do it every 2 days it takes me just under an hour and is about 3-4 barrows (thats a 90ltr barrow)
 
I pay a boy on my yard £4 per barrow, he is 14 but he does a fantastic job, does it in all weathers and it lovely and gentle with the horses. He is also very quick!
 
About £15-20 a week? Could you do free rides/livery in return for poo-picking? My friend gets free use of a tack room and stable in return for picking poo.

I would imagine my barrow is larger than yours and it is packed and heaped over. I don't believe I pay him too much for the job he does and it saves my back.

The woman who mucks out for me on a regular basis wanted £5 per horse per day to muck the field out once!

Probably, its just a 90ltr one. If it was one of those big blueones, then yeah, that would be worth it.

I just think that paying a teen almost £20 an hour would give them a false indication of the horsey industry - in fact I know it does and know of a few who got a shock at the REALY wages. Ho hum.

I used to pay my nephew £1 per wheel barrow, and if there wasn't alot maybe a bit extra to make it worth his while. I used to turn out a friends horses and muck out for her a couple of times a week and she gave me 2.50 per horse, (I was an adult at this point) At another DIY yard I know there was a girl there that people used to pay 2.50 to for a muck out and turn out. (also adult).
My friends that I helped out were also very generous and I got quite a few free lifts in their horsebox as well which was a bonus and I appriciated that more than the money.
 
i poo pick into bags and then sell it at the end of my drive for 50p a bag. (10kg bags). 2 and a half bags to a barrow. so i earn 1.50 a barrow or about 3 pounds an hour. not bad for poo picking my own field.
 
15 a week soudns right-but whether you will get anyone wanting to come and s*** shovel for that amount a week is questionable I would say-they would prob be local
 
I pay a friend on the yard £5 to give my two their evening feed (already made up), dump the haynet in the field, check water, in hot weather put a bit of dressing on their feet and take a barrow of the field - it takes about 40 minutes max to do those jobs.

If it is the kids doing the poo picking, I pay £2.50 a barrow on the grounds that is at most 20 minutes work and this equates to nearly £10 a hour which is a fairly good rate for what is not a skilled job - they would not get that much working in the local supermarket.
