How much to rent 13 acres of grazing?

I have the opportunity to purchase 13 acres. Just wondering whether there would be any interest to rent it as grazing? There is water connected and the possibility of electrics. Access is good with a section of hard standing for parking. Paddocks are enclosed and horses have access to a field shelter. I have the option to put up stables if required. Just wondering if there is much demand for grazing land to rent in the area and how much roughly people would expect to pay. All help would be much appreciated! Land is located in the ackworth/hemsworth area near pontefract with immediate access to off road hacking.

not sure that area but I would say yes. Land to rent is very very sought after ! I had been looking for years & have only just recently found something suitable.

I would put stables up as you will get a much better rent & it will appeal to a lot more people. 13 acres is a decent amount so you should attract someone serious !

Phone up the local agricultural auctioneers, they will probably advise and handle it for you if you want. Including purchase.

I'd say yes there's the demand out there but sadly I've no clue on price. I've been looking for something maybe a third the size of that to rent (ideally with water, shelter (or permission for one) and hardstanding (or permission for it) for about 2 years and I've had absolutely no joy finding anything

Around here, the going rate is about £10 per horse per week for grazing alone. With added facilities such as stabling, then that would increase to at least £20 per week. 13 acres, with facilities, depending upon the ground, gateways, that sort of thing, should accommodate 5-6 horses, with ease.

I would strongly advise though that you do your research, and check whether there are those, living suitably close enough, who would make use of what you have to offer.
