How much to sell trailer for?

I posted last week about where to advertise, now I need to know what to sell for, here is the spec:

Rice Double Horse Trailer

Can carry 2 x 16.2 horses. Front unload, jockey door and removable partition.

Trailer has recently been refurbished to a high standard (and only used a few times since) with the intention of me keeping it forever, however the competitions I have started doing with one of my horses are all a good 2 hour drive away so a lorry will be more ideal - plus my 4x4 needed replacing so we took the plunge and brought a lorry.

Work carried out includes:

New double floor - chassis was treated when the floor was out

Matting on floor

New coir on both ramps

Wipe down material on sides and partition

Inside painted white, breast bar, partition and hitch painted black

Wheels painted white

Entire trailer painted green

The Rice horse shoes were hand painted back to their original colours.

New back doors

Tyres all replaced and in excellent condition (inc spare)


So...a few people have told me what to advertise it for but I cant help but think they are being optimistic for me...I have a rough idea of what I need/would like but am rubish at pricing...so, what shall I advertise it for?

If i were you I would lookat various websites and of course Horse and Hound to get an idea of what other people are asking. This should help you pitch the price correctly.Without actually seeing the trailer it is very difficult for anyone to make suggestions.

TBH no idea.....there seems to be a fair few on e-bay at the minute, see what they are going for and adjust accordingly.

How old is it? The age makes a difference to the price no matter what you've done to it.

Mine is 10 years old and similar but need a complete repaint, place I take it to said as it stands it's still worth £1000.

I could do that. £5 for the trailer - £995 delivery charge and its yours!

LOL! I have just bought a 4x4 and sold my car.....OH has banned me from any more equestrian buying until after xmas, which is fair point as I dont need the trailer till spring (Hmmm....how likely is it that I will able to restrain myself though...not very

)

My finger was hovering over the 'bid now' button for a Barbie Pink trailer on e-bay the other day though......fortunately common sense kicked in......
