I'm about to advertise a little ex racehorse that I have. He's 11 years old, very smart, quiet to do in every way. Hasn't raced for last 4 years as wasn't fast enough but has been used as a hunter. Great to hack, good in traffic etc and I believe has won a riding club ODE. So... price wise I was going to advertise him at £1500 as he needs to be sold fairly quickly, but do you think this is too cheap? I just don't want a load of numpties ringing up about him!

Sounds about right to me,good luck finding him a nice new home

Oh now why did you have to post this AND be in Somerset....I must resist I MUST resist.

There is a similar horse being sold locally for £2k, so £1.5k looks like a good price. As for the numpties, there's no stopping them I fear.

Yes, I just hate selling horses, especially the cheaper ones because you get all the people ringing up who sat on a horse once when they were 10 and now they are 45 and want to take up riding again and think that an ex racehose is the way to go!!! Grrrrrrrrrr.
