i am getting a 3rd horse although one is out on loan, just wonderign what you guys pay for 1 0r two horses in competition work,

i pay
55 for 4shoes with 8 stud holes
10 pounds for shavings a week
15 for a lesson a week
5 for school hire a week
gallop hire is 10 althugh only go twice a month
competitiion approx 100
supplments for weekly must be about 5 pounds but they last for over a month and cost about 40 each for over a month


what about you guys

have i missed anything?

you missed hay and hard feed.

When my boy was competing I budgeted £500 per month on DIY livery

Far more than that!
Shoes with 8 stud holes for me are £75
Sahvings use at least 312/week
Gallop hire twice a week at £10/time (when ground is bad)
2 events a month, costly at least £80 each for a PN (when you add up fuel expenses etc)
My feed and supplements are free but theyre a big cost, esp as many eventers dont hold weight that great.

Theres numerous other costs too- vet fees, xc course hire for schooling etc etc!!
