I would put on for £3950 - looks like he would carry a fair sized chap and be fun but sane (men worry far less about a horse that gets a bit keen at shows, they think it's fun!) Someone could have a LOT of good sport with him by the looks of him!

Thanks everyone, hes on H&H, Horsequest (when they get around to putting him on!) and a few others, ive put the top end price on him, with room for negotation. I was worried there wouldn't be a market for his type, but hopefully fingers crossed we find a suitable home for him.

Gosh, he is the spitting image of my mothers horse she sold last year for 5k as a 6 year old.
Exact height, stamp etc,

Seriously i would go for a serious amount for him.
He's a year older than Hovis and has more experience and I won't tell you what i've been offered for the Destroyer! To give you a clue i paid £4.5K for him as a 4 year old (and yes probably paid through the nose before anyone says i was an idiot!). I looked at 10 years old versions of hovis and they were carrying a £8-9K price tag at the time ( 2 years ago)

Weight carriers that can do a bit of everything are rare as hens teeth and there are people especially blokes out there dying for them. He looks like he's got a pop on him - has he ever been hunting?

Never been hunting - i havent got the balls! And none of my friends do it either. Im sure he thrive been a hunter, especially with someone who can channel his energy and enthusiasm into something useful!

I think unless I was in a super hurry I might start at £5k and see what happened. friend did this with a pony recently not expecting a response and got a lot.

he is lovely and really nice jump

I'm sure you're right. i'm trying to get enough balls to take hovis but i have friends who will take him if i can't.
Seriously for an idea of price look at stubley hollow farm - now yes she's a dealer with a good reputation but she gets the prices she asks for (its where i got hovis from). Might be worth seeing if someone like that could sell him for you?

He is the IDEAL horse for my OH (he would give you whatever you wanted for him!) unfortunatly its too early at the moment for us to get horses at the minute (coz i am still at uni and he is working too much at the moment!)

I think you could ask almost as much as you want for a wonderful horse such as that!
