Hi,

this isnt a sale ( as i would never in a million years sell my baby boy) but i am curious as to if i really did get a bargin.... to me he is pricless and my best buy of my life hes my best friend!!

hes a 15'2 Thoroughbred Bay no markings 6yrs old rising 7 in march ex racehorse
he has sacring on his face (not noticable unless really close up in the summer)
also has a lump on his left hind leg (due to a kick last summer)

hes pretty mover, very willing and tries with everything.
has been out of racing 2 years (didnt do well, was 1st out the box but couldnt maintian constant speed)
i have jumped him at home 1meter5cm from a trot hes a little messy incanter when it comes to the bigger jumps but he pop 80-95cm nice in canter

doesnt rush can do flying changes although very green

no starting to work in an outline in trot and canter (although non constant) and is snaffle mouthed at all time

places out inhand shows (race classes) not placed inridden last year due to being very green

hes been to the beach and behaved fab! very good to pull up

i hope to do TARRA Race horse classes in the near future :)

what do you guys think?

i paid £800.00 for him including rugs tack feed!!

:)

heres a pick of the lovley boy!

THIS ISNT A SALE AD!!!!!! just curiousity as hes my whole world :) xxx

I think no matter what you pay - if it turns out to be a best friend or 'perfect for you' horse then it's worth it... :)

I bought our TB for £450 last year... Four yrs old, in a terribly emaciated state and covered with rain rot... I just couldn't leave him where he was even though he was totally unsuitable for what I wanted as a 'return to riding, confidence giving' horse...:o

He's as green as they come, a bit of a late developer and has his drama queen moments... :) But he looks a completely different horse now and although I don't ride him myself - I'm definitely mum and couldn't imagine being without him... He's an absolute sweetheart... A young lass from the local university rides him for me atm and hopefully, as my son's riding improves, he'll come for him and maybe my younger daughter at a later date when she outgrows her pony... Heck, MAYBE one day my confidence/current ability will improve to the point where I can take him out and about for the odd tootle around on a hack...:D

He wasn't the right horse for what I wanted - but still a bargain IMO because of what he brings to the family... :)

Judging by the smile on your face priceless.
I think you paid on the money for him.
Yet if he was for sale now we can see he is safe, has been schooled maybe do some riding club stuff.
I imagine some one would pay 1.5 k for him.
