Hi all,

I might have the chance to buy a 510 I for Williams trailer (the big old one you can fit two 17.2hhs in). But I'm not sure how much it is worth and what to do about it never being serviced.

The oldest I have seen advertised was a 2001 reg for £2k, not sure whether this being 3 years older makes much difference or whether it not being serviced makes a difference?

They are selling cos of losing their horse not cos of the trailer being dodgy.

It has had the wooden floor replaced with aluminium but never been serviced.

It is very lightly used - prob used twice a year for short journeys like 20 miles a time.

My horse has travelled in it say 5 times already and it feels and looks sound.

I would say somewhere between £2k and 2.5K. As its never been serviced and only lightly used I would hedge towards the £2k as you will probably have to change the tyres and get the brakes looked at.

I sold my 1994 510 Ifor Williams for £900 a few years ago, though it still had a wooden floor and had been extremely well used.

If it was in mint condition I would snap it up, the news ones aren't a patch on the style you are looking at. I replaced my old one with a slightly newer one but very lightly used, I can't recall exactly but I think I paid about £1900.

I paid £1200 for my 505 which is about the same age as the one you are looking at and mine also has the aluminium floor...
I would imagine you would be looking at about £1500 for a 510 in good nick
