As the title said how much would you pay for a 20 year old 13.3 in good health done some hunting proved to be good but not a first pony in the current market?

The most important thing is to find a good home for such a pony, it would not be ideal for most people.

I'm looking at giving the pony a forever home and a relaxed one of gentle work and pampering but I do not want to be taken advantage of and wondered what people assumed was a reasonable price :)

I think your best bet is to find an experienced home with a hunting family, that way one can expect that he would get a good life and would be useful as a companion if not in work.
£250 to £450 would be my guess unless he is a well known hunting pony [exceptional pony], and can be sold to someone in the same hunt.
Personally, I would want at least £350, but that is my perspective as a vendor. It is very difficult to set a figure for such a pony, I would suggest you go with your gut feeling and advertise him for that.

? I read this as OP wanting to buy the pony ...?

Sorry no help on price I normslly just look at what else is roughly equivalent on horsemart etc.

Just make an offer which you are OK with, maybe £500 max, subject to it passing a 2 stage vetting and open for two weeks, this gives them time to think but also make a decision.
The pony is not what they want, and the fact that they paid too much is their issue, not yours.
