How much would you charge to bring in a horse at your yard , pick feet , take any rugs off and hang up a pre-soaked haynet on a daily basis ?

We used to pay the freelance at our yard £2 bring in/turn out, £3 for rug changes (that was generally to discourage people from asking for this) or £10 for ‘full livery’ which included mucking out and anything else that needed doing

At same yard, but how much mileage would the person need to walk to go and catch horse?
Generally I'd say a fiver IF it fitted in with times when paid person was at yard.
However, if horse needs a special visit time, or is a schlep across fields, then at least a tenner if not more.

If it's your horse, time yourself doing exactly what you'd be paying for, from time of arrival. You might be suprised 🤔

No special trips needed , the horse would be coming in with the others.

Sorry to derail thread slightly but would people take someone on to do this/look after while you were away via a Facebook advert?

Whose advert, yours or theirs?
I do think you often get any old person thinking “I can do that” A lady I work for regularly has had a few supposed to cover days I can’t do and they usually let her down.
If someone’s been recommended and actually works as a freelance, comes to meet you and see what needs doing then yes absolutely.
