We are moving soon and will be moving to a place with 5 hectares and stables, one of our friends is looking at getting a horse and wants to livery it with us. but the horse will be a heavy horse - normandy cob type!! and i was wondering what you think would a reasonable price to ask (grass livery!). My mum will have unlimited riding and i will have someone to hack out with

Depend where you are really but just grass about £10 if it is grass and use of a stable £15. That is presuming total DIY and no other mega facilities.

have a look around to see what the going rate is in the area. then decide if you are going to charge the same kind of price or less

About £25-30 per week for grazing and stable.

Are you planning to include hay, bedding and feed? Will it be DIY livery?

Don't forget to add in the cost of these and public liability insurance for the yard.

It depends where about in the country you are as prices vary considerably. Around my area grazing & stable would be about £20 pw DIY. The price would rise if other facilities were available.

I have just left a diy grass livery with a shelter not big enough for 4 horses, lol,oh and 5 acres, think you have alot more land than that, lol,i personally would be happy to pay a few quid more just for the fact you have loads of grass, which to me is very important for my boy!I paid £15 a week, most other places round here charge £20!!I have just moved, still on diy grass livery, included is hay and feed and i am paying £37 a wk,so it does work out about the same, maybe bit more in summer as no hay,but i have use of a school etc!If i want a stable with that it would be £48 a wk x
