Following up from the posts yesterday about full livery prices, I was wondering if when you are in the country affects what you would expect. So if you paid £90 a week for livery, what would you expect????

I'm from Yorkshire and I would expect:
*Full muck out
*skiping out when neccessary
*full groom
*feed and water buckets cleaned daily
*turnout and bring in
*Rug changes, put away tidily, wet rugs put to dry
*Brush to remove mud, pick out and wash feet after being turned out
*Tack to be stripped weekly, bit to be cleaned after every use
*haylage
*basic feed (chop and nuts or mix)
*straw bedding
*handling for vet and farrier
*if neccessary poulticing, cleaning any wounds etc

I would expect to pay extra for:
*shavings
*supplements/balancers
*exercise
*competing
*travelling the horse
*All farrier/vet/physio etc bills

I would expect the yard to have a large all weather surface, with good quality jumps, a secure tack room, large stables, all year turnout, parking.

So what would you expect in your area for £90 a week???????

I would compleatly agree with you but I would also expect shavings but would expect them to be limited to one or two a week and if I wanted more I'd have to pay extra

I could have two on FL for £90 PW ..

I would say that about £360 a month is cheap for part livery round here, at my yard its £425 part and £575 full. so they get turned out brought in rugs changed haylage, feed and 1 bale shavings - pay more for extra. yard has decent school lunge pen and horsewalker nearby permit hacking and ok turnout

I'm in Surrey and I pay £90 for part livery. This includes:

Turn out/ bring in
Change rugs (and hangs up wet ones etc)
Feed
Hay or haylage
Bedding (shavings, 1 bale per week then have to pay for extra)
Feet picked out when brought in
Beds skipped out when necessary

Doesn't include exercise or grooming/tack cleaning - if you want these, you have to pay extra
We have access to a giant outdoor arena (though surface is a bit rubbish in summer as it gets very deep)
Access to approx 400m canter gel track (makes up for the school)
Showjumps
Good hacking
24 turnout in summer on decent grazing, must be in at night in winter
really nice stables, secure tackroom, parking etc etc

My full livery starts at £90 a week, and includes full care/use of facilities etc and all feed, hay and shavings etc. The only extra we charge is for exercise.

I'm in central kent and for £90 would expect part livery on a decent yard (i.e mon-fri) or full livery (7 days) on a yard that isn't that great - probably smallish school or poor surface that floods/freezes or poor/no winter turnout. Certainly no walker/xc course etc. Livery would include turn out, muck out, fetch in, brush off mud and pick out hooves, rug change and basic feed (nuts and chaff). Bedding limited to 1 per week or have to supply own bedding. Certainly wouldn't get full groom, tack clean or any exercise.

I pay £120 and get all the above plus decent all year turnout, good sized school with wax surface, 2 bales bedding per week, full groom each day, tack cleaning - treat the horse as if it is their own. It is expensive down here and yards offering full livery are few and far between, especially decent ones. When I was near Loughborough I could get 5* full livery for £90 per week easily.

Well in Hertfordshire i *will* be getting for £84....

Full livery on mon-fri
DIY on sat and sun but the YO will turn out and bring in and feed sometimes if you can't make it.

Included...

All the hay and bedding i could ever want,
2 all weather arenas, one huge.
Good selection of showjumps,
big stables,
Decent all year turnout
and a lovely YO,
perfect for me
