How much would you offer for....

I am looking to buy another horse, I originally was looking for a young horse with potential to BE buttt after a think I'm thinking about going another way.

So.....what would you offer for the following:
14.1 unregistered new forest gelding
17 years old
Great hack
Would do prelim dr but hasn't
Would do small jumping class

I know him, used to part loan him, feel 100% safe on him and could get out and about right away.
He has issues being alone in yard but I have another horse so that's not an issue and I know all his quirks and an happy I can deal with them.
He is not actually for sale but is on full loan to an equestrian centre.

I know it's a massive change from what I had in mind and not sure what to do really but what would you offer for him?

I have a figure in mind but what to make sure I'm along the right lines!

under £1000. His age goes against him but I wouldn't let that put me off if its reflected in the price.

Not a lot to be honest - I'd say about £500 due to his age and experience.

Glad to hear we are on the same page I was considering offering £750. Owner can't afford to keep him though and he would have home for life.

I agree about £750. His age goes against him, but a safe hack is always worth something
