people say they are priceless but come to sell one and it doesn't seem to be the case! :p

So - how much would you pay for a jump everything, well behaving quality hunter?

But Badger isn't just a good hunter he is versatile too! You have evented, SJ & team chased him, no?

Is he 10yrs old?

Only guessing but 7-8k maybe more (not that I have that money!)

depends on the scarcity of the type of horse you need - if I needed large weight carrying horse to cross the Blackmore Vale and jump huge hedges out of bottomless mud - I'd have to pay more than if I wanted a 16.1 TB type for a smaller, lighter country.

Comes down to supply and demand! What are you selling?

what you described was what i was looking for when i was buying last year - i got the one in my sig for 2k....
she's a v experienced canny irish weight carrying hunter. sold as 11 but is actully 8 or at a push 9...
we've been in the rosettes everytime we've been out and she hunts on the buckle of the rein and is v intelligent over fences. she only begins to put effort in over about 3'6 :smirk:
she was a bit of a rough diamond at the time though ;)

Thanks Joe. I'm not sure now because we might be able to move back up north which would mean I could actually ride him again! :)

bit out of date, but sold a similar horse in UK in 1996 for 5K - he had PNed and hunted (also with hunt staff) and he was a bit cheaper than he could have been as we sold him to friends.... even bearing in mind the economic climate, that was 13 years ago...if yours is as described and would have no problem to pass the vet, I think you should stick with the 7-8K - just be patient

The one I have just got on loan, the owner was originally looking to get £6k for him, which seemed about the right mark, according to chats with a few others. He's 12, 16hh anglo irish, and a really good push button sort who has hunted for years.
