How much would you pay for a project?

I have been looking for quite a while now for a project! Was initially wanting something up to £1000 but am i being unrealistic? As looking at the adverts, most are either lame or have vices. Am I better going to the sales?

Well Deefa is selling the most beautiful horse for £900.

Why not contact her about him. He really looks smashing for someone with the knowledge and skill to bring on something needing sympathetic handling.

I agree! If I had the time I would snap him up!

What kind of project do you mean? A youngster to bring on? One with riding vices to work on? Something green but older? I'm thinking that depending on the 'project' you could pay widely different prices. Or are you open to any random project that might pop up?

(As ever, there is always www.projecthorses.co.uk - spent last night trawling round that getting attached to the walk/trot only TB hacker but she's a perm loan, not for sale

You just have to look very hard- I found her on a totally random website when searching in google "horses for sale"!

They are about there was a 16hh 3yr old bay mare on horsemart for £850 Monday obviously got snapped up very quickly.........!

Isn't he lovely! Someone should snap him up, lawnmower or not! Def a project! I love the bit about getting a yearling instead!

would help if the person who advertised him could write up a decent account of him or at least get half the words right and spell them right.

no more than its meat value...

i say this because what do you do with it if you cant turn it around???

i'm not talking about "cheap" ponies..but REAL project animals like 99% of the stuff on "projecthorses"

I pay no more than £500, but then thats for max 14.2hh's who aren't backed. Only once have I bought one with a vice (wouldn't again!), took longer to sell but still got the same price Id asked even if she hadnt cribbed.

Best thing to do is buy unbacked ones IMO, then hopefully they havent been ruined already! I remember someone calling me up offering me a 14hh pony for £800 who apparently bolted "but only 3 times"... no thanks...
